VitaSkan Terms of Service

Version 2.0 — Updated July 3, 2026

Welcome to VitaSkan. These Terms are the deal between you and us. Read them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

We've kept the language plain. Where we had to use legal words, we explain them.

1. What VitaSkan Is

VitaSkan is an app that scans your face and gives you a Health Score from 0 to 100. You take a selfie. Our AI looks at things like wrinkles, redness, pores, dark spots, and hydration. You get a score and a routine. Over time, you can see what changes.

What VitaSkan is not:

  • Not a medical device.
  • Not a doctor.
  • Not a diagnosis.

VitaSkan is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. AI skin scoring is informational only. Consult a licensed dermatologist for medical concerns.

If something on your skin worries you — a mole that changed, a rash that won't heal, pain — see a real dermatologist. Don't wait on us.

Any testimonials or before/after examples on our website are illustrative composites. They do not depict real users or guarantee results.

2. Your Account

To use most features, you need an account.

When you sign up, you promise:

  • You're at least 13 years old.
  • The email you gave us is really yours.
  • You'll keep your password to yourself.

One person, one account. Don't share logins. If someone else uses your account, that's on you.

We can suspend or close your account if you:

  • Break these Terms.
  • Try to game the app (fake selfies, bots, scraping).
  • Use VitaSkan for something illegal.
  • Charge back a payment without talking to us first.

You can close your account any time. Go to Settings → Delete Account. There's a 7-day cooldown before we wipe everything. That gives you time to change your mind. After 7 days, your data is gone. We can't get it back.

3. Free Tier and Anonymous Scans

You can try VitaSkan without paying.

  • Anonymous scan: One free scan without signing up. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to make sure you're a human, not a bot. We keep that scan for 24 hours, then it auto-deletes.
  • Free account: Basic scan and score. Limited history.

Fair use: Anonymous scans are one per person, per device, per day. If you spin up ten browsers to get ten free scans, that's not fair use. We may rate-limit or block you.

4. Premium Subscription

Premium is $9 per month. Billed by Stripe.

What you get:

  • Unlimited scans.
  • Full check-in history.
  • Personalized routine.
  • Progress tracking over time.

How billing works:

  • Charged on the day you subscribe, then every month after.
  • Auto-renews unless you cancel.
  • Cancel any time in Settings. You keep Premium until the end of the billing period.
  • Prices may change. We'll email you at least 30 days before.

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you happy. Try Premium for 30 days. If it's not working for you, email hello@vitaskan.com and we'll refund your first payment. No forms. No hoops. Just ask.

The guarantee covers your first month only. After that, refunds are case by case.

Chargebacks: If you have an issue, email us first. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in your account being closed.

5. What You Can and Can't Do

You can:

  • Scan your own face.
  • Share your Health Score wherever you want.
  • Cancel any time.

You can't:

  • Upload someone else's face without their consent.
  • Upload photos of children under 13.
  • Upload anything illegal, obscene, or that violates someone else's rights.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy our app.
  • Use bots to run scans.
  • Resell VitaSkan or pretend it's your product.
  • Use VitaSkan to make medical decisions (see the disclaimer above).

If you break these rules, we can suspend or delete your account. Serious breaches may lead to legal action.

6. Your Photos, Our Platform

You own your photos. Always. We never claim any right to them beyond what we need to run the app.

By uploading a selfie, you give us permission to:

  • Send it to Perfect Corp for skin analysis.
  • Store it encrypted on our EU servers.
  • Show it back to you in your history.

We do not:

  • Sell your photos.
  • Share them with advertisers.
  • Use them to train AI models. Ever.

When you delete your account, your photos are deleted. No copies. No backups kept beyond what the law requires.

We own the platform. The app, the code, the design, the VitaSkan name and logo, the Health Score algorithm — all ours. You can use the app. You can't copy it.

7. Trademarks

"VitaSkan" and our logo are our trademarks. Don't use them without permission. Don't register anything that looks like them.

Other brand names you see in the app belong to their owners. We're not affiliated with them unless we say so.

8. The Boring but Important Disclaimers

No medical advice. VitaSkan gives you a score, not a diagnosis. If you have a health concern, see a doctor.

Results vary. Skin is complicated. Your Health Score depends on lighting, angle, sleep, hormones, and a hundred other things. Someone else's before/after doesn't predict yours.

The app is provided "as is." We work hard to make it accurate. But we can't promise it's perfect, always up, or free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limits on Our Liability

This part matters. Read it slowly.

To the maximum extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. That means lost profits, lost data, or emotional distress from using the app.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 — whichever is more.

Some places don't allow these limits. If you live somewhere that doesn't, they may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

If someone sues us because of something you did — uploading a photo you didn't have rights to, breaking these Terms, using the app illegally — you agree to cover our costs. That includes legal fees.

We'll let you know if this happens. We may want to handle the defense ourselves.

11. Where Disputes Get Settled

If you're in the United States:

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware. Disputes go to state or federal courts in Delaware. You and we both agree to that.

If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom:

You keep the consumer rights your country gives you. Nothing here takes those away. GDPR applies to how we handle your data (see the Privacy Policy).

Informal resolution first. Before anyone files anything, email hello@vitaskan.com. Most things get solved with a conversation.

No class actions. Where allowed by law, disputes are resolved individually, not as part of a class.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do:

  • Small changes (typos, clarifications): we update the page.
  • Big changes (billing, your rights, how we handle data): we email you at least 30 days before it kicks in.

If you keep using VitaSkan after a change takes effect, that counts as agreeing to the new version. If you don't agree, close your account.

13. Other Legal Bits

  • Entire agreement. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the full deal.
  • Severability. If a court throws out one part, the rest still stands.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce something once, we can still enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You can't hand your account off to someone else. We can transfer these Terms if we sell or reorganize the company.
